Hadrian, 117-138. Cistophorus (Silver, 26 mm, 10.67 g, 7 h), uncertain mint D in Asia Minor. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P Bare head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. COS III Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory in her right hand and spear in her left; behind, shield set on ground. Metcalf 95. RPC III online 1445.4 (this coin). Very rare. Beautifully toned and with a fine portrait. Slightly rough and with a few minor marks and traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.
